Urhobo World Celebrates Dr Mabel Origho

We celebrate Dr Mabel Origho who recently graduated as a medical doctor, having navigated various institutions across several countries.

Mabel is an indigene of Usiefrun, in Ughelli south local government.

She graduated from the Spartan Health Sciences University School of Medicine, St Lucia in 2017

She recently completed a Masters in Public Health at the Hofstra University, New York, USA in May 2021

In her Master’s Program, Mabel was in the top 5% in her class and scored a GPA of 3.97 out of a possible 4.0

She was also awarded public health scholarships three times during the program for high overall performances.

Mabel is a member of Inception, a free online BAME peer support group for Pre-Med, Medical Students, and Doctors in the UK and Internationally.

Mabel intends to specialise in Internal Medicine in the future.

In her spare time, she enjoys reading fictional books, watching anime, and cooking.

True success shouldn’t be fixated only on the achievement of set goals and milestones, but also on persistence, personal growth and contentment. The process is as valuable as the end result.
